How we safeguard your privacy

We collect the information that we need in order to deliver superior service.

We and our custodians collect information to verify your identity in order to comply with the USA Patriot Act requirements. This information includes but is not limited to names, tax identification numbers (including social security and employer identification numbers), residential/principal place of business address, mailing address, date of birth, passport number, alien identification card number, articles of incorporation, government issued business licenses, partnership or trust documents as well as photo identification. We will take photocopies of necessary documents that will be secured in our compliance files. If we cannot verify your identity through traditional documents, we may use non-documentary methods, such as but not limited to contacting you, checking reports from credit bureaus or public databases and/or obtaining references from other financial institutions. If we cannot verify your identity, an account will not be established for you. We and our custodians also cross check all prospective and current clients with the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control terrorist and other watch lists.

We have implemented measures to protect against unauthorized access to your information, including through the Internet.

We require companies that help us service your account to protect your information in accordance with strict privacy standards.

We do not sell or disclose information about our customers or former customers to outside companies or third parties except as required by law (such as complying with a subpoena or court order).

We restrict access of customer or former customer portfolio information to everyone but employees and third parties that need to know this information in order to provide service to you. We require authorization from the customer before mailing, faxing, or otherwise disclosing financial information to attorneys, accountants, or any other third party.

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with applicable federal standards to guard all such information.

We update you about our privacy practices at least once a year, and give you the opportunity to tell us your privacy preferences.
